2nd August we headed south to Kirkcaldy to play the Council course at Dunnikier Park. We had a warm, sunny but blustery day to play on a course with a lot of blind shots and small greens, John Mill was the winner this month with John McKie second, both well clear of the rest, the most accurate was Nicol McNair winning nearest the pin into the wind at the 6th, John McKie won the Hidden Holes and the winning Yellow Ball team were John McKie, Nicol McNair, John Mill and Noel Raleigh.

Next month we play our Championship outing at Auchterarder This will consist of One round in which both stroke play (Championship) and Stableford (Monthly Outing) will be held. NB no one can win both competitions, in this case the winner will be awarded the Championship and the next best score the monthly outing. We are trying to agree a bus to take us from Balmullo Inn but as yet this is not confirmed. There will be a meal and presentation at the club afterwards.

Auchterarder Golf Club is located in the heart of Perthshire, Scotland, and welcomes visitors all year round. Our parkland course has spectacular views towards Gleneagles and the Ochil Hills and runs along side the PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles Hotel (Ryder Cup venue in 2014). An easy walking course of 5775 yards, it has a variety of challenging holes which are a test for golfers of all abilities.
